Hello, it’s me again. Sabre. Your favorite fluffy enforcer of household rules.
First, I must address the absurdity of October 31st. Strangers in costumes everywhere and not one of them is here to admire me. Tragic.
But just when I think I’ll never survive, something magical happens (or at least, magical for Blaze). At exactly 10:00 p.m. (yes, I can read clocks), Blaze starts putting up twinkle lights, hauling out bins of Christmas decorations, and suddenly the house transforms. And do you know what that means for me? Garland. So much garland. I sit in it. I play with it. It is mine (until she hangs it up).
Also, let’s not forget the kitchen. The holidays mean extra baking, which means extra smells, which means extra opportunities for me to supervise.
So here’s your reminder from Sabre:
-
Respect the Christmas start time (10 p.m. Halloween).
-
Leave all garland on the floor for my inspection.
-
Keep the coziest blanket free - yes, it’s mine. No discussion.
-
Compliment my holiday fur - it’s shinier this time of year.
Failure to comply will result in me climbing onto your shoulder and refusing to move. I make the rules, I enforce them, and I look very cute doing it.
Purrs and enforcement,
- Sabre
