Somewhere Between Plans and Reality 🍞

There’s always a version of the week that I think I’m going to have, and then there’s the one that actually happens. In my head, everything is spaced out nicely. I know what I’m making, when I’m making it, and how it’s all going to come together. It’s very organized, very efficient, and honestly a little unrealistic.

In reality, it usually looks a little different. Something takes longer than I expected, something else gets moved around, and there’s almost always a moment where I realize I probably should have started something earlier. It’s not chaotic in a bad way, just not as polished as the plan.

There’s a rhythm to baking that doesn’t always line up perfectly with everything else going on. It requires a little flexibility, a little patience, and a willingness to adjust as you go. The more I’ve done this, the more I’ve realized that it doesn’t actually have to be perfect to still turn out well.

Some of my favorite bakes have come out of those in-between moments. The ones where I wasn’t overthinking it, where I just kept going and trusted the process a little more. It’s been a good reminder lately that not everything has to follow the exact plan to still work.

Sometimes it just needs a little time, a little attention, and a willingness to meet it where it is. And most of the time, it still turns into something good.
